Sail with Seaway Adventures

Your journey begins in Klaksvík, where you’ll board a high-speed RIB boat with Seaway Adventures. Feel the thrill as you cruise across the fjord toward Syðradalur on the island of Kalsoy—often called “the flute” due to its long, narrow shape and tunnel-connected valleys.

Bike Through the Dramatic Landscapes of Kalsoy

Upon arrival, you’ll hop on your electric bike and begin your ride through Kalsoy’s stunning scenery. The route takes you north toward Trøllanes, offering breathtaking views, quiet villages, and dramatic cliffs along the way.

The road includes four tunnels—an adventure in itself. The first is the longest and most challenging, taking about 5–7 minutes to pass through. The remaining tunnels are shorter (around 3–4 minutes each) and easier to navigate.

While cars may occasionally pass, there is space to safely pull aside, and all tunnels are equipped with lights and emergency stations (though lighting is dim).

Hike to the Iconic Lighthouse

We highly recommend taking a scenic hike to Kallur Lighthouse, one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Faroe Islands. The hike offers spectacular panoramic views of cliffs plunging into the Atlantic Ocean. Please note: access requires a small fee payable at a gate along the trail.

Cultural Stop in Mikladalur

On your journey, consider stopping in Mikladalur to visit the famous Kópakonan (The Seal Woman), a powerful sculpture by the seashore tied to Faroese folklore.

Return Journey

After your hike, you’ll cycle back to Syðradalur, where your RIB boat awaits. Relax and enjoy the scenic sail back to Klaksvík, completing a full day of exploration across sea, road, and trail.
